Tony Calabrese and I are taping a TV Special at the Comedy Store Tuesday January 12th … the same day we try out for America’s Got Talent! I should buy a lottery ticket that day too I guess 🙂 If you want to be in the audience at the Comedy Store – showtime is 730pm. Doors open 7pm. Please text me 619 9933402 and I’ll hook you up with comp tickets. Laura Hayden is hosting the show and Charlene Mae is featuring .. so it’s like the Automoheels Gang is reuniting for one night too! Don’t miss this!
I get to headline my favorite show twice a year .. you know it. Comedy Heights. The little show that could 🙂 Comedy Heights was started by Al Gavi and Gina Manning about 5 years ago as a twice monthly show next the coffee at Twiggs in University Heights, and when Gina moved to LA, she recommended me to Al and Al is super smart so he listened to Gina and brought me on as his new partner. We went weekly. Booked some amazing comics and tah dah! 2 years later it’s one of the best shows in town. I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish. And now I get to headline and play with some fabulous people I love to work with. Tony Calabrese is my feature … plus some of my UBER good friends Toni Torquato and Gene Levin who run their own show at the Space Bar in La Mesa once a week, and newcomer Danielle Marie Thomas. It’s going to be fun … hope you can join us!
The Irvine Improv is an amazing venue, so I hope some people will brave the wet and come out and get some laughs with me and headliner Tony Calabrese. Jim Taylor is a fantastic producer and funny comedian … so I expect it’ll be a FUN NIGHT. $5 at the door 🙂 Come by 700pm to get your food order in. It’s delish!
This most likely one of the most fun shows of the year. It’s Tony Calabrese’s annual birthday bash at the Comedy Store. We’d do it more often, but he’d be so old by now. Message me to get tickets.
Looking forward to the Warriors Fundraiser June 13th at the American Legion Post 731 San Diego. Come and laugh with us 🙂
Vicki Barbolak just oozes female confidence and bravada and she’s funny as ‘sh-t’. She’s a regular at the Comedy Stores, has headlined Vegas and has been voted America’s Funniest Mom by Nickelodeon. A bunch of other funny chicks on the show too! Woot!
Karen Rontowski headlines the April monthly Freakin’ Funny Females Comedy Show at the Comedy Palace. I’m booking every Thursday at the Palace, and every FIRST THURSDAY it’s just the Ladies. Karen has been on Letterman a bunch of times, plus Comedy Central and all of the major late night networks and comedy channels – she’s a STAR! And then I also booked the hilarious Kat Radley and Kazumi Kusano … together an amazing show just on it’s own .. but we also have San Diego local favorites Jennifer Congernaum and Jennifer Purdie and I’m hosting. So basically it’s one funny chick after another. You really can’t go wrong. Add in the fact that an RSVP to the Facebook event, or direct to the Comedy Palace with the code ‘funny’ means you get in NO COVER and that’s just plain ‘too easy’. There’s a 2 item minimum, but chances are you were going to buy a drink and something to nosh anyhow .. so then it’s just finding a parking spot and there’s a ton right next to the venue. See you April 2nd! Woot! Thursdays at the Palace ROCK!
The First Freakin’ Funny Female show at the Comedy Palace was a blast Feb 5. Jennifer Congernaum emceed the show which was packed with funny gals like Taylor Tomlinson, Janice White Remland, Jessica Muchow, Jennifer Purdie, Jessica Brustad and headliner Katsy Chappell. LOVED being in the company of these dolls! The next show is March 5th with headliner Anita Milner .. one of my favorites!!!
March 13 and 14 are already sold out, March 15th still has some tickets left. But text me asap to get them. I’m opening for my Vietnamese brother Dat Phan who just visited his mother land for the first time since he came to the USA as a child. He has new jokes to share and in true ‘Last Comic Standing’ form .. it’ll be hilarious. I may have a few new things up my sleeve as well 🙂 Cos that’s my yob. Dragon’s Den downtown San Diego is the place.
I would tell you about the upcoming show at the Comedy Palace Wednesday .. but the truth is Chris Clobber is so darn brilliant and hilarious I never know what he’s going to come up with. Animal noises, drowning dog sounds, and the kind of humor that got him to Comedy Central I guess. Hope you can make it :)Message me to get on the VIP list.
